Cast All Your Cares On Him...

Well, it's 8:26 am. I've been up all night and just now getting a bit sleepy. Too many things rattling around in my heart and mind. I prayed, I watched a program I had taped earlier, I ate (always a mistake to eat in the middle of the night), I did stretching exercises to relax my muscles, and nothing worked.

Do you ever have a difficult time laying your burdens down... casting your cares... resting in the love of God? Well, I do. I have trouble relinquishing control, but if I'm honest I have to say I'm never really in control anyway. My beliefs tell me that He, God, holds all things in the palm of His hand. So, as the morning sun greets me, I am going to lay down... my troubles... my concerns... my fears.... my head on my pillow, and sleep the sweet sleep of peace... confident that God sees and knows, and He cares.

When I can't sleep, I get comfortable, and start praying...eyes closed, I pray (talk like you would to someone you love) until I just don't remember praying anymore and am finally asleep...works almost every time!
And remember, Once you give it to Him, Stop trying to fiddle with it...He knows how it will all turn out...Your job is to just have Faith...Loving you sweetie!

Donna, That usually works for me. Lately, I pray, and then pray some more and am still awake. Then I decide I must have something else I need to do like clean my house! Lol! I know now why I was so down... spent the morning with "D" and throwing up. Flu! Ick! Better now, just that tired feeling you have when you've been sick.

Thanks for always caring!
Hugs!

Hi Nita Jo. Hope you finally got some rest. Sometimes it seems so hard to lay our troubles down. Who could handle them better than the Lord but our human nature keeps wanting to stay in control. I'll be saying a prayer for you.

I just stopped by to say "Congratulations on winning Susie's give away over at From My Home To Yours.

Just to let you know I have joined a bible study that Debra is hosting over at A Day In The Life. You can link to it from my blog. I think you might like it and we'd all love to have you.

Of this one thing I am sure, That he will take care of us. He cares for his children and will not leave us or forsake us! HE is a Father, a Daddy. I have learned that if we are ever going to walk this walk of faith we had better start saying what Daddy says and trust that He is working on every single care casted before His throne. Casting all our cares on Him because he cares for us!!!! Sending you many hugs and much love.
