Sunday Scribblings #260 - Nearly

Maddie was dressed and ready to go.  She'd gotten up early, showered, selected her best clothes, eaten a light breakfast, and read the paper.  Now, with purse in hand she stood looking at the door.  Dizzy, she was so dizzy. "I'll just sit for a bit." she thought.  And so, she sat.  The minutes ticked into hours.  At some point, she hung her jacket back in the closet and placed her handbag over the doorknob.  She'd almost made it.  She was very nearly there, but not quite.  Maybe next time.  Yes, next time she would go.

My interpretation is that she has a phobia of going into public. Maybe next time. LOVELY write!

So many of us will relate to this, having been there for whatever reason.

Nice write. She started with such conviction, but of course such things only take us so far....

This is really sad. As I read this I could sense the wanting. I hope she makes it next time.

Oh how sad. But oh, I feel this way sometimes when I know I should go work out in the gym but I feel sooo tired. I usually make it, though. I hope this character does too next time.

Wow! Thanks for all the comments! I'm still sharing a computer so my time online is very limited. I was excited to get the time to do a little writing. Love the feedback.

I like Maddie, so she may be back sometime. I really love Rachel, from my previous piece, too. I just have to make the time to write!

Hugs to you too Donna! Hope I get to join in the next photo challenge! :)
