I cannot get the hang of sizing pictures for my header. I have an early photoshop program, but it's Greek to me! I miss my old photo program that came with Windows 98. It was easy to layer images, add words, edit color or size. *sigh*
I apologize for the "hugeness" of the header image. I have been sitting here for the last hour trying to create something that will fit. I give up for today.
Also, does anyone out there know where your blog goes when you download a copy to save it. It's not actually on my computer anymore. When I click to open it, Internet Explorer starts up and trys to open it... and that fails too!
All of this is a result of trying to give my blog a fresh, new look for Christmas! Please send me comments or email with suggestions. Please... please...

Hi Nita Jo!!! I just LOVE your Christmas banner sweetie, it's beautiful ~ I know what you mean about that saving stuff, I think it goes into a temporary download folder on your hard drive, I usually highlight all of the HTML and just past it into a word pad file and save it in my documents ~ but haven't had to use what I've saved either :) I hope you are doing great sweet friend, hugs and love, Dawn
I have NO clue!! Wish I was more helpful sweetie!! The header looks Great!hughugs
Dawn, Thanks! I'll try using a word pad file. I love the picture too. It is one of the "Free Samples" from Dover!
Donna, Glad you like it! I'm so clueless about a lot of the newer technology. I will have to get my son to help me again. Lol!
Adore the new pic on your banner/header! (I am so clueless, I don't even know what it's called...) And your Christmas music is so festive! Off to decorate my tree!
Kate
Love that picture for your new header! Have you ever tried to use www/picnik.com? You can upload your photo file, add text, resize, etc., then download back to your computer. Easy-peasy!
As far as the saving is concerned, I don't know the answer. I write all my posts using a Word file on my computer, then cut and paste into blogger. If I ever lose everything, I'll still have what I written & the pictures I used.
I laughed SO hard at your comment about having watched When Harry Met Sally!!! I Love that movie and that's what I was thinking about when I wrote the post!!Hahahaa...great minds...Hughugs
Nita Jo, try sizing your header somewhere in the 600/800 pixels by 300 pixels. That should get you pretty close to a decent size and then you can finesse it. Also do you check the shrink to fit box? when you add your header? Sometimes that works well but other times you're better off not checking that box. I hope this info helps you.
Cheers
Gail
