Sunday Scribblings - Fluent

Here is this weeks Sunday Scribblings.  To see more of my work go to My Sunday Scribblings

In dreams I dance,
spinning effortlessly across the flour,
my soft dress fluently swirling
around me to the rhythm of the music.
Moving gracefully, lightly,
unencumbered by age and circumstance.
In dreams, I still dance.

Sunday Scribblings - Big Dreams

Big Dreams is the prompt for this weeks Sunday Scribblings.  To see all of my writing for Sunday Scribblings, go to My Sunday Scribblings.  Here is my attempt...

We all carry dreams in our hearts, but how often do we see them come to fruition.  Years of our lives can be spent on little steps forward, and back, in the journey to achieve those dreams.  From the time I was a little girl, I have loved stories, all kinds.  I played with the idea of becoming a published writer, but have never seriously pursued it.  It seemed to be too big of a dream for me to accomplish.

For the past few years, I have watched my sister, and her guy, pursue a dream.  He wrote a screenplay.  Then he began gathering local talent to begin filming.  My sister was a dedicated part of the whole process.  She had a vision that it had to be done.  They spent time, money, and energy to do that.  They poured heart and soul into the project.  Tonight they saw their dream unfolding, as they premiered their movie before a local audience.  I have heard good things about it already.  No matter what comes next, they followed their big dream.  They made it reality with hard work and commitment.

That's what it takes to achieve the big dreams.  Digging deep inside your heart, laying it all out there, and believing in your vision.  Maybe it's time to dust off my manuscripts, and take another look at my dreams.  There is a world of possibilities out there, waiting for those who have the courage and the desire to take hold of them.

Vagabond Lane Premiere

I have been sick again this week, so my posting is not getting done on a regular basis.  I did come on today to tell you about an opportunity if you live in the Boise, Idaho area.

My sister has been involved in the making of a local film called Vagabond Lane.  I can't tell you much about the film other than what you will read in the reviews.  It is PG rated, and I'm told has a Christian theme behind the fantasy.  Here's the event information:

Vagabond Lane premieres tomorrow at the Egyptian Theatre, with showings at 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM.  Tickets are a bargain at $6.00 per person.  It is an all Idaho cast and crew!

I hope if you live in the area, you'll be able to come and support this local film.
Before signing out I just have to say, we had the most amazing, sunny day!  A definite sign of Springtime!  It was just what was needed to raise my spirits.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
